He also won 1.40cm showjumping classes in Sweden and placed top three in his performance test in Sweden.

Cairo sired the 1997 Swedish Foal Champion and the Swedish Quality Test Champion.

Cairo 869 has won and placed in over 40 FEI level dressage competitions in France, Germany, Sweden and Australia. He has also won at 1.40cm level showjumping making him a truly versatile stallion. He was one of the only three stallions in his testing year to be licensed after only one test. The rest had to return the following year. He consistently scored 8s, 9s and 10s. He has an exceptional temperament and his progeny have won numerous awards in Sweden including the Quality Test Champion of 1997 and the Swedish Foal Champion. He has five progeny competing at 1.40cm jumping and several doing well in the dressage arena.

Cairo is currently competing Prix St George and Intermediare I in Sweden under a Young Rider. In 2006 they finished second in the Young Rider ranking list and won a Silver Medal in the 2005 Swedish Dressage Championships!

His sire the Holsteiner, Cortez has been represented at the Olympic Games no less than four times. The dam sire Utrillo (imp Hannoverian) has been a foundation sire of many great horses in Sweden and the Cortez/Utrillo combination was successful in many great horses including the international showjumper Corrmint.
